Terms of Use
Last updated October 23, 2026
Agreement
By downloading or using Cyclewise you agree to these terms and to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/), which applies to the app together with these terms. If the two differ, these terms add to the standard EULA without reducing your rights under it.
What Cyclewise is
Cyclewise estimates when an iPhone battery may drop below 80% of its original capacity and turns a goal into a daily battery budget, from numbers you give it (your cycle count, capacity reading and battery use). It uses Apple's published design target for your model, an inferred figure where Apple publishes none (marked as such), and a general lithium-ion rule of thumb for charge-limit what-ifs.
Cyclewise is not affiliated with, endorsed or approved by Apple. iPhone is a trademark of Apple Inc.
Estimates only
Every date, budget, health figure and scenario Cyclewise computes is an estimate based on charge cycles only. Real batteries also age with heat, time spent at full charge, fast charging and manufacturing variation, which the app does not measure. Results can be wrong, and the app cannot read your battery in the background.
Cyclewise is not repair, safety, medical or legal advice. Do not rely on it to decide whether a battery is safe to use; if your battery is swollen, very hot or damaged, stop using the device and contact Apple or an authorised service provider.
Battery warranty
Whether a battery is covered by Apple's limited warranty, AppleCare or consumer law is decided by Apple (and, where it applies, by the law of your country), after Apple's own diagnostic. A message in Cyclewise that a battery may be covered is information, not a promise or a claim on your behalf.
Free app and optional donations
Cyclewise is free. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase and no paid tier, and no feature depends on a payment.
From the app or the website you can choose to make a voluntary donation to the developer. A donation is a gift: it is optional, it unlocks nothing, it gives no right to any feature, level of support or future version, and it is non-refundable except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
A donation is processed by a third-party payment provider on its own page, outside the app and under its own terms and privacy policy. Apple is not involved and we do not see your card details. For a receipt or a payment problem, contact the provider from that page or write to amin2020e@gmail.com.
Licence and acceptable use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Cyclewise on Apple devices you own or control, within the App Store rules. Do not copy, resell, reverse engineer or misuse the app or its purchase system.
Your data
Your readings are yours and stay on your device (see the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for your own backups.
Limitation of liability
Cyclewise is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including battery replacement costs, loss of data or decisions taken from the app's estimates, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim before the courts of that country.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. Questions: amin2020e@gmail.com.
